Diagon AlleyDiagon Alley is a cobbled wizarding street and shopping area located in London, England behind a pub called the Leaky Cauldron. St. Mungo's Hospital for Magical Maladies and InjuriesFounded in late 1500s or early 1600s by Mungo Bonham , St. Mungo's Hospital is the primary wizarding hospital in Britain. Located in an abandoned department store in London, the hospital's Healers treat wizards for all sorts of magic-related illnesses and injuries, and in extreme circumstances has been known to treat Muggles as well. The hospital's logo is a wand and a bone, crossed, and donations are welcome. King's Cross StationKing's Cross Station is considered one of the main train stations to serve London, England. Students of Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry take the scarlet steam engine named the Hogwarts Express to Hogwarts from Platform 9¾ on September 1 at 11 AM sharp. It also serves as a major intercity and commuter rail hub for Muggles going to North London or Yorkshire and the North East and Scotland. |

Hogwarts CastleHogwarts Castle is a wondrous, magical building with many towers and turrets. It is home to Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry. If Muggles approach the castle, all they will see is a mouldering ruin with a sign warning them to keep out, that it's unsafe. Hogwarts is built in a forested area, directly next to a fairly large lake, in the highlands of Scotland. The main entrance to Hogwarts is a set of huge oak doors which face more or less toward the west. The lake is to the south of the castle. The forest is very large, and parts of it extend around to the west of the castle. Hogwarts GroundsHogwarts castle is located atop a cliff overlooking a lake. The lake is to the south of the castle and the front doors face generally to the west. There is a small underground inlet, it's entrance covered with hanging ivy, that leads to a stony beach below the castle at the base of the cliff. From here, a path leads up to the front door of the castle. A road runs around the lake to the village of Hogsmeade, where the railway station is located. From the descriptions, Hogwarts would seem to be in Scotland. The grounds are quite extensive, taking in a large forest and enough open space that folks in the castle never noticed the firey breath and roaring of group of four angry dragons kept in a paddock near the forest for the Triwizad Tournament. There are entrances to the grounds, which seems to imply that there is a wall or fence enclosing the entire area. The main entrance gate is flanked by pillars on which stand statues of winged boars. Hogsmeade Hogsmeade is the only entirely wizarding village in Britain. According to tradition it was founded over a thousand years ago, around the same time as Hogwarts, by Hengist of Woodcroft as he was fleeing persecution by Muggles.
